Spatial Relationships

Forming the block train and bridge designs is a great way to learn spatial relationships- the understanding of how objects relate to one another and the space around them.

Additional Strategies

If your child has difficulty with the fine motor control to stack or form designs- try using larger “blocks”. The yellow and red “blocks” are actually small boxes that I filled with sand so that they provide sensory feedback.

Stacking yogurt containers is another fun option. Consider filling containers with different materials to vary the sounds and weights of the containers.
