Moving on a scooter board also strengthens trunk muscles and core

stability. The little girl in this video has low muscle tone and benefits from the forces impacting her trunk as she propels. If she were to face backwards while someone pulled a rope attached to the scooter board- she would be working in a way similar to the little guy sitting on the horse, shown above.

Swings and Rockers are also great for strengthening the core muscles, increasing muscle tone using fast/ erratic movements and vestibular stimulation….
