There is no reason that a ring stack must be round or have only one dowel!
I designed ring stacks of various sizes, shapes, numbers of dowels and heights so that clients would have variety and be required to use both hands to perform. The adaptive equipment department at the state school that I worked in made several of the ring stack shown below. It is made out of wood and very sturdy. However, I have made the square piece that is stacked out of cardboard, stiff vinyl, yoga mat material and fabric. The illustration is from my book The Recycling Occupational Therapist….
