Easy to Make Apple Fine-Motor Activities:

These simple lacing and weaving activities were cut out of vibrant, sturdy and readily available detergent or dishwasher soap bottles. Similar activities can be made with pumpkin, heart, tree or other common shapes. These activities are designed for either young children and older individuals with developmental disabilities as they work on:

  1. bilateral coordination
  2. eye-hand coordination
  3. prepositional concepts such as in/out and over/under
  4. manipulation skills and
  5. pretend play as they remove worms from apples
