Make a Proprioceptive Pull Activity Using PCV Pipe

My two-year-old hippotherapy client loves using force to pull as hard as she can! This provides the proprioceptive sensory input that promotes body awareness, motor planning and feeling good. Bigger clients may perform pulling using one hand, but her little hands work well together to pull one handle.

I cut the handles out of detergent bottles and tied fabric strips to them before slipping through the PCV pipes. It really takes a lot of force to pull these all the way until a different handle reaches the pipe. I also attached a stuffed animal pull toy to the selection of handles to pull.
