Electronic Device Neck Strain

I have long recognized the harm of bad posture resulting from hunching over to use an electronic device. Now, as a senior citizen, I am even more vulnerable to neck, shoulder and back strain and pain resulting from years of bad posture starting in my childhood.

My treatment includes efforts to stretch, deep breathing relaxation, and shaking out my body parts, especially neck and shoulders. The following video explains "text neck".

My attempts to decrease pain include attaching my electronic device at a height that enables me to look straight ahead.... in this case a phone used to play scrabble with my sister. I am able to think about my moves both on the board and with my body to briefly counter the strain of  Text Neck.  Be sure to include some trunk rotation.....

Swimming, hiking and cycling have been very helpful now that I am stronger and have increased tolerance and I  continue providing deep pressure using whatever I have available...

In addition, I am working with a massage myofascial Release  therapist who encourages me to jiggle throughout the day. So listen to  Chubby Checker and Twist the night away....
