While typically developing babies naturally respond positively to calming, slow movement, swaddling or being held tightly to receive deep pressure and gentle vestibular sensory stimulation- many children continue to benefit from this type of stimulation by using a cloth hammock such as the commercial one shown below or the homemade hammock made out of a sheet shown above. I recommend trying the sheet under table method first because there is no need to invest in hardware to attach it to a ceiling or stand- and if its a huge success you may always consider investing in a hammock that provides more movement.
