Stacking is great for developing eye-hand coordination and motor control. It teaches children to stabilize with the helper hand while stacking with the worker hand- as shown above.
The following blocks are made of small cardboard boxes filled with sound- adding auditory input as well as proprioceptive stimulation from the weight. Proprioception stimulation muscles and joints and promotes motor planning skills. I also attached Velcro to the tops and bottoms to help the blocks to stay in place.
